Install the Real Time for McAfee ePO server and database

The Real Time for McAfee ePO server setup installs the Real Time for McAfee ePO server application, a

Real Time for McAfee ePO SQL database, and sets the options for communication with the McAfee ePO

server.

Task

Extract the Real Time for McAfee ePO server .zip file to any folder on the Real Time for McAfee ePO

server system, then run setup.exe. Follow the instructions and type the required data when

prompted.

• The network path where you want to install the server.

The default path is C:\Program Files (x86)\McAfee\Real Time

Server\. This location can be the same as the McAfee ePO server.

The server is installed under the 32‑bit branch.

• ePO Server — IP address or host name of your McAfee ePO server.

• ePO Server Port — The https port of the McAfee ePO server. 8443 is the

default port.

• ePO Admin User — User name of the McAfee ePO administrator.

• ePO Admin Password — Password of the McAfee ePO administrator.

Windows Account and

Password

The Real Time for McAfee ePO server account is the service account and

is used to connect to the Real Time for McAfee ePO database. The

account must belong to the local administrator group on the system

where Real Time for McAfee ePO is installed, and must have permission

to create and delete databases.

• Domain — Domain name where the account exists.

You must be a member of the Local Administrator group.

• User name — User's domain account name.

• Password — User's domain account password.
