Upgrading from EEFF 3.x client
This section describes what happens during the upgrade of the EEFF 3.x client. The client
upgrade does not transfer any user information or policy from the 3.x client to 4.0 client. These
settings must be reconfigured on the ePO server and should be sent to the client through policy
update.
EEFF 4.0 client deployment forces a restart on the client system. The EEFF 3.x client is uninstalled
and EEFF 4.0 client is installed during restart. All the encrypted files and folders on the client
system remain encrypted. For a user to open an encrypted file or folder after upgrade, the
encryption keys must be imported into ePO server and assigned through policies.
